Uh, What A Bad Day.
We needed groceries and up here in Longmont, the rain wasn’t that bad. I go to Walmart, and everything goes well for once until I go to check out. Not only did I get into the slow lane, but the cashier didn’t know what she was doing. When my receipt went to print, the register asked for her to “insert document, press clear” meaning put a piece of paper into the printer and it will print a duplicate receipt. She kept telling me to rescan my card. Um…… NO! I’m not getting charged $300 twice. She calls a manager over to deal with me, only for the manager to look at her like she was an idiot and told her to put paper into printer.
I got out of the store, and the rain has started freezing into little ice balls, that hurt like hell as you are walking into them. I rushed and got Ally into her seat and the groceries into the car.
I get home and the glass hatch on my Rodeo decided it wanted to fall on my head while I was getting the bags out of the car. I have a HUGE knot on my forehead and a 1/4 long cut on the bridge of my nose right between my eyes. I took these about half an hour ago, the lump is a nice purple now.
The plus is that I bought Ted Dekker’s BoneMan’s Daughters today. I’m stoked to read it!

An Awesome Video And Some Ally Pics

Ally has her first tooth and she has learned how to take her pnts off if they are a little loose on her!
I’m Off! Now With An Update!
After my mom was diagnosed with diabetes, I wanted to loose weight and start eating healthier. I’m slowly getting better at eating healthier, Ben isn’t helping me too much there. I’m trying though!
I’ve also bought The Biggest Loser Weightloss Yoga. My muscles are sore from just one work out. The last time I weighed myself I weighed around 180. I want to be around 130 (average weight for my height)
I want to get a jogging stroller so I can go out for jogs. I’ve tried with our umbrella stroller and I can’t et past walking ecause I keep kicking the stroller. So if you know where to get a cheap one, let me know!!!
Wish me luck!
So I went today (3/4/09) to look at joggers and I bought one. The cheapest and best constructed one I found was the Jeep Liberty Urban Terrain stroller.

I like it. I did just hand down a huge stroller to Anna Grace, and now I have another! HAHA!!! Joggers are so expensive. Most of the ones I found were well over $200, and everything around $100 were kinda cheap looking, or had fixed wheels. This was my best pick for $100 that wasn’t junky or not what I was looking for.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
A love story for you.
After giving up on finding a decent guy that was near me, I took my mom’s advice and went online. After having been on a dating site for 2 days I met Ben. We talked online for a week or so before we decided to meet in person. We met in a Starbucks and talked until the place closed, then decided to go midnight bowling. It was February 2nd, 2007.
Fast forward a week or so. Ben invited me to his apartment in Longmont for a 2 day late Valentine’s dinner. He made me Parmesan Chicken and pasta. The chicken was burned and the pasta way over cooked.
He gave me a teddy bear and a card. I still have them. See!

We saw each other as often as we could. On August 2, 6 months after we met, Ben took me to go see The Sound of Music at the Boulder Dinner Theater. After we went back to his apartment and he popped the question.
We set a wedding date of February 2nd, but moved it when we found out that Alyssa was on the way.
So on December 1st, 10 months after we met, we were married. 2 years after we met, we are still going strong. Loving life, each other and our daughter.
I can’t really write out emotions well, but I think you get the gist of our story.
Need Your Input!
I’m Pooped.
I just cleaned the apartment from top to bottom and everywhere in between. Need I say that I am tired? I did make one realization while I was cleaning the bathroom.
I was listening to a cd that my lovely Kaela made for me. Trace Adkin’s Honky Tonk Badonkadonk came on and I realized it’s a country version of Sir Mixalot’s Baby Got Back. Then I remembered that my Dad asked a coworker at one point what a Honky Tonk Badonkadonk was. I laughed so hard I scared Alyssa! Listen for yourself!
What A Weekend!
Let me start by saying this weekend was a blast! Ben had a two and a half day weekend and decided he wants to make his own cheesy, spaceship computer game. Which had to involve me. He had me design a spaceship for it and then taught me how to make it on paint. Geeky, but oh so much fun! I think it looks good for a first attempt!

I also did a few scrapbooking pages. My first ever 12 x 12 sheets!!

We also took a trip to Golden Ponds Park for a walk and I worked on a book I’m making for my Mystery Mom at MOPS. Sorry, no pics of it just yet! But here are a couple of Alyssa helping me with the book pages!

A New Trick And A New Place
Alyssa is using tables/chairs/walls/us/crib rail to stand up and can sit on her own. She also took her first trip to the park and liked it!

If You Saw The Dark Knight…
This might be really funny! I was laughing so hard only because it is true in some parts of the movie!!!
