This Was Sent To Me Today

December 10, 2008 at 5:19 pm (Adventures in Mommy Land, Everyday stuff, Stuff close to my heart)

I had read about this little boy in a news article right before I bought Alyssa’s carseat. His story is the reason I plan on keeping Ally rear-facing as long as possible. A friend on cafemom sent me the link to his page and I had to share it. Please pass it on to anyone you know with small children.

One year and 20 pounds is a minimum! Many convertible carseats can be used rear-facing until 35 pounds. There are NO documented cases of children’s legs being broken from rear-facing, but many cases like Joel’s, many of which the children have died.

Poor baby! It’s always painful to see a cjild who is badly injured.
